A professional jazz dancer until her early twenties, Lara explored a variety of movement-modalities and pursued her dreams as a performing artist before earning a Diploma in Movement Arts and Teacher Training certifications from Yoga Alliance and The Aerial Arts Association.
Fascinated by the many forms + sounds found in nature, Lara’s creative process + movement practice is a reflection of the elements in her environment and their interaction with one another.
Nearing a decade of guiding in-person and online movement gatherings, Lara’s offerings via UPSIDE continue to demystify what it means to tune into our feeling-bodies.

This class offering is a two-part practice — of yoga and mobility — designed to to cultivate a greater sense of awareness, strength, softness and freedom through breathe-guided movement recipes.
With practice, we can embrace the mystery in times of transition + mindfully tend to the ways we move through them (on and off the mat).Each class is 75 minutes and open to all movement-abilities / bodies.

This class format is an invitation into our inner world via breath-work and guided-meditations to nourish our nervous system and regulate a sense of clarity.
Our breath is a gift and a raft to help carry us, to help anchor us. Tune in.
Each class is 45 minutes and open to all. -
Focussing on the potential of our physical form - UPSIDE is an aerial-movement-module designed to build mind-body coordination and ability — enabling one to climb, wrap, invert and transition into an array of positions on the apparatus (silks, rope, rings).
The long journey from fledge to flight is made up of falls and failures, leaps and learnings, slow growing courage and confidence.Each class is 90 minutes and open to all movement-availabilities / bodies.

A weekly virtual immersion via zoom exploring your choice of movement and is designed pertaining to your desired goals. Lara will tailor and tweak your training template every few weeks based on your progress through practice.
